Virtual Visa / Mastercard
Pay for ChatGPT with a virtual card
ChatGPT accepts card payments. Get a virtual Visa or Mastercard from GiftyCode, top it up with crypto or your balance, and subscribe to Plus or Pro — or add API credit.
How to pay
- Get a card and top it up with the plan price plus a 2% buffer.
- Connect to a Singapore VPN and open chatgpt.com → Upgrade plan.
- Choose Plus or Pro and enter the card number, expiry date and CVV from your GiftyCode account.
- Use the cardholder name and billing address issued with the card.
- If 3-D Secure appears, enter the code from the card page.
The card settles in SGD, so 2% is added on top of the merchant amount. Keep a small buffer on the card.
Check before you pay
Pay on chatgpt.com, not in the iPhone app — there the subscription is billed through the App Store and your Apple Account. Open checkout from a Singapore IP (VPN) and use the billing address issued with the card.
If the payment is declined
Reconnect to a Singapore IP, reopen checkout in a private window, and check the billing address and card balance. Don't retry many times in a row — repeated declines can temporarily block payment.
Why a GiftyCode virtual card works
- A regular virtual Visa / Mastercard — accepted wherever you can pay by card online.
- Issued online in minutes, no identity verification required — verification only raises your limits.
- Top up with crypto or your GiftyCode balance; every fee is shown before you confirm.
- 3-D Secure codes arrive on the card page and by email; freeze the card in one tap.
Questions
Can I pay for ChatGPT with crypto?
Not directly — OpenAI doesn't accept crypto. Top up your GiftyCode virtual card with crypto and pay by card; to OpenAI it's a regular Visa or Mastercard payment.
Does the card work for the OpenAI API?
Yes, add API credit with the same card under Billing on platform.openai.com. Same rules: Singapore IP and the card's billing address.
Do I need to verify my identity to get a card?
No. The card is issued without identity verification; verification only raises your account limits for issuing and top-ups.
How much does it cost?
The issue fee and the top-up fee are shown before you confirm each operation. Purchases carry an extra 2% for SGD settlement, charged by the issuing bank.
