Virtual Visa / Mastercard
Pay for Gemini with a virtual card
The Gemini subscription is sold as Google AI Pro and billed through your Google payments profile. Get a virtual Visa or Mastercard, top it up with crypto and add it to the profile.
How to pay
- Get a card and top it up with the plan price plus a 2% buffer.
- Connect to a Singapore VPN and open gemini.google.com → Upgrade (or one.google.com).
- Add the card to your Google payments profile with the card's billing address.
- Confirm with the 3-D Secure code from the card page.
The card settles in SGD, so 2% is added on top of the merchant amount. Keep a small buffer on the card.
Check before you pay
Your Google payments profile country must suit the card, which is issued in Singapore. You can only change the country by creating a new profile in pay.google.com — do it beforehand, from a Singapore IP.
If the payment is declined
The usual cause is a payments profile country that doesn't match the card. Check the profile country in pay.google.com, the address and the card balance.
Why a GiftyCode virtual card works
- A regular virtual Visa / Mastercard — accepted wherever you can pay by card online.
- Issued online in minutes, no identity verification required — verification only raises your limits.
- Top up with crypto or your GiftyCode balance; every fee is shown before you confirm.
- 3-D Secure codes arrive on the card page and by email; freeze the card in one tap.
Questions
Why does Google decline the card?
Google checks the payments profile country against the card's country. A profile in another country has to be replaced with a Singapore one.
Does it work for the Gemini API?
Yes, Google Cloud / AI Studio billing takes the same card under the same profile-country rules.
Do I need to verify my identity to get a card?
No. The card is issued without identity verification; verification only raises your account limits for issuing and top-ups.
How much does it cost?
The issue fee and the top-up fee are shown before you confirm each operation. Purchases carry an extra 2% for SGD settlement, charged by the issuing bank.
